BlockBeats News, April 15th, according to official sources, Ethereum's re-staking protocol EigenLayer announced that the Slashing mechanism will go live on the mainnet on April 17th. Active Validation Services (AVS) will be able to build verifiable, trustless applications; meanwhile, operators and stakers will need to take on responsibility.
Slashing is a PoS protocol's economic penalty for a node or a group of nodes executing a strategy that can be proven to diverge from the given protocol specification.
