美国对冲基金大鳄比尔·阿克曼的潘兴广场管理公司周三披露收购了四年前摆脱破产的汽车租赁公司赫兹（Hertz）的大量股份，引发了该股的大幅上涨。
周三提交的一份监管文件显示，截至2024年底，潘兴广场已建立了4.1%的头寸后，赫兹股价飙升了56%。另据一位知情人士称，自那以来，潘兴广场通过股票和掉期交易已将其持股比例大幅提高至19.8%，成为赫兹的第二大股东。
这位知情人士说，阿克曼的投资公司获得了美国证交会的豁免，可以将申报头寸的时间推迟到周三，这样它就可以积累更多的股票。
在过去十年的大部分时间里，赫兹一直是一家陷入困境的公司，包括在2020年新冠病毒大流行期间破产。
在2021年摆脱第11章破产保护后，该公司在全电动汽车上押下了重注，尤其是特斯拉，在这些汽车的剩余价值大幅下降后，该公司为此付出了数十亿美元的代价。
