** Intel shares INTC.O down 1.7% at $18.91 after rival TSMC 2330.TW says not in talks with other companies about joint ventures after media reports co could take a stake in a JV with INTC

** FT also reports on Wednesday the American chipmaker will need licenses to export some advanced AI processors to Chinese clients

** Nvidia NVDA.O down 1.1%, extending losses after closing almost 7% lower on Wednesday amid broad chip selloff; co said on Tuesday it will face $5.5 bln in charges due to U.S. chip export curbs

** TSMC announces upbeat quarterly earnings, lifting some chip stocks

** U.S.-listed shares of TSMC up 2%, AMD AMD.O up 0.5%, Qualcomm QCOM.O up 0.9%, Broadcom AVGO.O up 0.3%

** INTC closed more than 3% lower at $19.23 on Wednesday

** As of last close, INTC down 4% YTD
