Archer Aviation (ACHR) on Thursday unveiled plans for an air taxi network in New York City in partnership with United Airlines (UAL) that would transport passengers from Manhattan to nearby airports in 5-15 minutes.

Archer said it is seeking type certification from the Federal Aviation Authority for its Midnight piloted electric aircraft.

United previously placed an order for a fleet of Archer's Midnight aircraft and has remained a long-time investor in the company, the company said.

Archer shares were 0.7% higher in recent premarket trading.
