Cygnus Metals (ASX:CY5) said drilling at the Golden Eye target within its Chibougamau Copper-Gold Project in Quebec, Canada, returned shallow high-grade gold mineralization, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
"Significant" intersections include 5.9 meters at 34.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent, with 32.2 g/t gold, 1.2% copper, and 27.3 g/t silver.
Another intersection returned 4.5 meters at 21.6 g/t gold equivalent, with 14.9 g/t gold, 4.7% copper, and 54 g/t silver.
The company's shares were up 10% at market close Thursday.
