Nividia CEO: To Resolutely Provide Services To Chinese Market
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang visited Beijing on Thursday following new US export restrictions on the company's chips, which caused its stock to drop.
During his trip, Huang met with clients, including DeepSeek founder Liang Wenfeng, to discuss chip designs for Chinese customers, according to two people familiar with his travel schedule. He also held talks with Chinese Vice-Premier He Lifeng, according to one person familiar with the meeting, emphasizing the importance of China as a market for Nvidia and expressing hope for continued cooperation.
Huang's visit, arranged after the US banned Nvidia's H20 chip, suggests the company is committed to maintaining its presence in China despite ongoing tensions, including trade disputes and regulatory challenges. Nvidia has faced scrutiny from both US and Chinese authorities and is exploring ways to meet market demands while navigating complex export controls.
