Apollo Global Management (APO) said late Thursday that it appointed chief executive officer Marc Rowan to the expanded role of CEO and chairman, effective April 21, after the resignation of the current chairman Jay Clayton.
Clayton will assume the role of interim US Attorney for the Southern District of New York on April 22.
In addition, the company appointed Gary Cohn as lead independent director. Cohn is the vice chairman of IBM (IBM).
