President Trump escalated his feud with Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell over interest-rate policy.

On Wednesday, Powell said the recent market selloff was understandable given the uncertainty over Trump's tariff policy. In response, Trump took to Truth Social early Thursday morning.

"Jerome Powell of the Fed, who is always TOO LATE AND WRONG, yesterday issued a report which was another, and typical, complete "mess!"" Trump wrote.

"Powell's termination cannot come fast enough!," the president said, arguing the central bank should have cut rates more aggressively, like the European Central Bank.
