BlockBeats 消息，4 月 18 日，据 CoinDesk 报道，巴西联邦法院近日对加密货币平台 Braiscompany 诈骗案作出终审判决，三名主要责任人被判处合计 171 年监禁，创下巴西加密货币诈骗案量刑纪录。主审法官 Vinicius Costa Vidor 认定主犯 Joel Ferreira de Souza 通过空壳公司和未监管加密钱包洗钱数百万美元，其行为构成“未经许可经营金融机构罪”。调查显示，该团伙以每月 20% 收益为诱饵，通过分层返佣模式发展下线，最终导致 2 万名投资者损失总计约 10 亿雷亚尔（约合 1.9 亿美元）。
主犯 Joel Ferreira de Souza 因金融犯罪与洗钱罪叠加获刑 128 年，该平台市场总监 Gesana Rayane Silva 获刑 27 年，罪行为虚假宣传与协助洗钱，技术负责人 Victor Veronez 因伪造交易记录获刑 15 年。
