美国电动汽车制造商特斯拉公司２２号公布的财报显示，今年第一季度公司净利润同比暴跌７１％。同一天，特斯拉首席执行官马斯克在公司财报电话会议上表示，从５月开始，他将减少在政府效率部工作的时间，将更多时间投入到特斯拉。

马斯克表示，他将继续每周花一两天时间处理政府事务，以确保浪费和欺诈行为不会卷土重来。

特斯拉公司２２号公布的财报显示，今年第一季度该公司营收同比下降９％，汽车业务营收同比下降２０％，净利润同比暴跌７１％。特斯拉公司表示，销量下滑的原因之一是需要更新其四家汽车工厂的生产线，以开始生产Ｍｏｄｅｌ　Ｙ的低成本版车型。此外，特斯拉还确认将在今年６月于得克萨斯州奥斯汀推出付费无人驾驶出租车服务。自２０２５年初以来，特斯拉公司股价跌幅已超过４１％，不过，受利好消息影响，该公司股价２２号上涨近５％。

马斯克被视为美国总统特朗普的亲密盟友，在新一届美国政府中领导政府效率部，帮助特朗普大幅削减联邦开支、大规模裁减联邦雇员。美国白宫２月曾表示，马斯克的身份是“特殊政府雇员”。据美国媒体报道，按照相关规定，作为“特殊政府雇员”，马斯克一年内服务时长不得超过１３０天。这意味着，从１月２０号算起，马斯克任期最晚在５月底结束。如果只计算工作日，其任期最晚于７月结束。
