April 23 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening up on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 up 1.08%.
* BP: Elliott Management has urged BP to boost its free cash flow to $20 billion by 2027 through spending cuts and cost reductions, a source familiar with the situation said.
* TARIFFS: The U.S. will aim for Britain to reduce its automotive tariff to 2.5%, the Wall Street Journal reported , citing people familiar with a draft document from the Trump administration.* ASTRAZENCA: AstraZeneca AZN.L said it has rejoined the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).
* ARGENTEX: Argentex's AGFX.L shares were suspended from trading after it said its liquidity had significantly worsened due to the sharp fall in the U.S. dollar.
* WAGES: Pay increases by British employers stayed at 3% in the three months to March, according to Brightmine.
* OIL: Oil prices rose almost 1% in early trade amid sanctions on Iran, a drop in U.S. crude stocks and a softer tone from Donald Trump on the Federal Reserve.
* GOLD: Gold prices fell as Donald Trump retracted his threats to dismiss Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
* METALS: Copper prices in London hit a near three-week high following Trump's comments about a trade deal with China.
* The UK blue-chip index .FTSE closed up 0.6% on Tuesday extending its winning streak to seven consecutive sessions.
