TotalEnergies (TTE) said Monday production has started at the deepwater Ballymore field offshore US.
TotalEnergies said it has a 40% stake in the field, while operator Chevron (CVX) owns a 60% stake.
The field has a daily gross production capacity of 75,000 barrels of oil a day and 50 million cubic feet of gas a day tied back to the Chevron-operated Blind Faith floating production unit, TotalEnergies said.
TotalEnergies said that, at plateau, the field will represent nearly 30,000 boe/d net of cash-accretive production for the company.
The company's shares were down 1% in recent trading.
