Nomura (NMR) has agreed to acquire Macquarie's US and European public asset management business for $1.8 billion in cash, the companies said late Monday.
Under the terms of the deal, Nomura will fully acquire the three companies that operate the business, with closing targeted by the end of 2025.
Nomura said the deal will "significantly expand" its investment management division.
