Yancoal Australia's (ASX:YAL) attributable saleable coal production reached 9.5 million tonnes in the first quarter ended March, up 8% from 8.8 million tonnes in the year-ago period, according to an April 17 filing with the Australian bourse.
Total attributable sales volume rose 1% to 8.4 million tonnes from 8.3 million tonnes.
Attributable run-of-mine (ROM) coal production rose 5% to 11.5 million tonnes from 11 million tonnes.
The average realized price was AU$157 per tonne, down 13% from AU$180 per tonne a year ago.
The company maintained its full-year attributable saleable production guidance of 35 million to 39 million tonnes.
