Newmont (ASX:NEM) said US-based investment, advisory, and risk management services provider BlackRock has an 8.7% stake in the company, according to a US Securities and Exchange Commission disclosure filed on the Australian bourse Tuesday.
BlackRock now holds 97.6 million shares in the company.
Shares of the company fell 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
