美东时间4月21日，美国芝加哥联储主席奥斯坦·古尔斯比在接受采访时表示，短期通胀预期上升，但长期预期未上升，仍然相信利率在未来12个月—18个月将更低。

对于市场高度关注的“美联储主席鲍威尔解雇风波”，古尔斯比回应称，美联储主席是委员会中最重要的人物，其意见具有举足轻重的影响力。美联储的独立性至关重要。
