消息面上，4月21日，全球领先的疫苗合同定制研发和生产(CDMO)服务公司药明海德宣布与全球领先的创新细菌疫苗研发企业羽冠生物达成战略合作。羽冠生物将借助药明海德在疫苗CDMO领域的一体化研发和生产服务能力以及世界一流的质量体系，推广其新一代细菌外囊泡技术平台OMV Plus在全球细菌疫苗领域的广泛应用。
据了解，药明海德为药明生物的全资附属子公司。2024年，药明海德与羽冠生物达成合作，在不到10个月时间内，成功实现了工程化OMV疫苗的GMP规模化生产，单批次100L发酵产量超过100万剂，单剂生产成本低于1美元，为此次双方合作的战略升级奠定了坚实基础。
作为最具潜力的新一代细菌疫苗技术之一，工程化OMV疫苗有效解决了细菌疫苗抗原种类繁多、筛选复杂的技术挑战，具有无需额外添加佐剂即可增强保护效力的优势，其商业化应用已获得验证。羽冠生物OMV Plus平台成功突破了传统OMV疫苗的多个技术瓶颈，大幅提高了OMV产量和广谱性，可支持几乎所有革兰氏阴性菌疫苗的开发。
