Alphabet's Google (GOOG) was found in violation of Russian law by a Moscow court for allegedly revealing personal details about soldiers killed in Ukraine, Reuters reported Monday, citing Russian news source TASS.
The ruling stems from a YouTube video that reportedly exposed both the identities of deceased Russian servicemen and the scale of losses in the conflict.
Russia has continued pressuring foreign digital platforms to remove materials it deems false or harmful, particularly those related to its military operations in Ukraine, the media outlet said.
Google did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
