Cathay Pacific Airways Logs 20% Boost in March Passenger Count

Cathay Pacific Airways (HKG:0293) carried nearly 2.3 million passengers in March, up 20% from a year prior, with passenger capacity rising 26% to 11.4 billion available seat kilometers (ASKs), a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

In the first quarter of 2025, the number of passengers carried jumped 23% year on year to 6.7 million.

In March, subsidiary Cathay Cargo recorded an 11% year-over-year rise in cargo carried to around 148.8 million kilograms. Cargo capacity grew 8.5% to 1.32 billion available freight-tonne kilometers.

Subsidiary HK Express flew 616,098 passengers in March, up 25% from a year prior, with ASKs growing 36% to 1.46 billion.
