智通财经APP获悉，近日，摩根士丹利任命胡霁光博士(Dr. James Hu Jiguang)为中国区副主席，这一任命显示摩根士丹利正在加大在内地发展其投行业务的力度。该任命已由摩根士丹利发言人证实。
据一份内部备忘录显示，胡博士将与摩根士丹利境内外团队紧密合作，通过扩大客户基础、加强各行业高层客户关系，以推动中国投行业务的增长。
胡博士，毕业于美国耶鲁大学，获历史、经济双学士学位、以及法律博士(J.D.)，曾担任花旗中国投资银行部主管、美银证券中国投资银行部主管。
