Skeena Resources (SKE) said Tuesday that the Supreme Court of Canada dismissed applications by Richard Mill and Orogenic Gold to appeal a July 2024 court ruling that favored Skeena in a mineral rights dispute related to the Albino Lake storage facility at Eskay Creek in British Columbia, Canada.
The 2024 ruling stated that Skeena did not relinquish the materials to the province and that the previous Gold Commissioner incorrectly deemed it so, the company said.
Skeena said the Supreme Court's decision allowed the mineral rights dispute to proceed rehearing before the new Gold Commissioner. The rehearing process is already ongoing, but is not expected to be completed before Q4.
