比推消息，据 Cointelegraph 报道，前美国证券交易委员会(SEC)主席 Jay Clayton 已被任命为纽约南区临时美国检察官，接替在多起高调加密货币案件中发挥重要作用的 Damian Williams。此任命为临时性质，原因是民主党参议院领袖 Chuck Schumer 使用”蓝单”阻止了对 Clayton 的确认投票。Clayton 可在无需参议院确认的情况下担任临时检察官长达 120 天，任期将持续至 8 月 20 日左右。
