特斯拉高管在1月份表示，半挂式卡车可能会在2025年底开始生产，并在2026年的某个时候开始大规模生产。特斯拉投资者关系主管Travis Axelrod今年1月在与分析师的电话会议上表示：“我们上周刚刚封顶了位于里诺的半挂式卡车工厂的屋顶墙。我们正在为未来几个月所有设备的机械安装做准备。大批量半挂式卡车设计的第一批产品将于2025年年底投产，并于2026年初开始提高产量。”

特斯拉最终于2022年12月推出了半挂式卡车，但在过去三年里，这款电动拖拉机的批量生产多次推迟。大约200辆半挂式卡车已经交付给百事可乐等客户。根据Electrek最近的一份报告，半挂式卡车的量产可能会再推迟28个月，并面临大幅涨价。
