Hyundai Motor Group, the parent of Hyundai Motor (KRX:005380) and Kia (KRX:000270), and state-owned railway operator Korea Railroad signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday to co-develop smart city infrastructure centered on mobility around train stations in South Korea.
The collaboration aims to integrate Hyundai's technology with KORAIL's train station development zones to transform stations into hubs of connected urban mobility, Yonhap News reported Tuesday.
Shares of Hyundai Motor rose more than 2% while those of Hyundai Motor increased nearly 4% at market close on Wednesday, April 23.
