AeroVironment Awarded Italian Ministry of Defense Contract for Jump 20 VTOL Aircraft

AeroVironment (AVAV) said Monday it has been awarded a $46.6 million contract by the Italian Ministry of Defense to provide its Jump 20 vertical takeoff and landing, or VTOL, medium uncrewed aircraft system.

The five-year contract includes procurement of the Jump 20 air vehicles, engineering services, initial sustainment, and onsite technical support, AeroVironment said.

Shares of the company were down 2% in recent Monday trading.
