Medius Holdings Co (TYO:3154) has resolved to transfer its logistics division to a wholly owned subsidiary, MEDIUS Group Logistics Preparatory Co., Ltd, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
This absorption-type company split is set to take effect on July 1.
The move aims to consolidate the group's logistics functions, standardize processes, and enhance efficiency as part of efforts to meet growing demand in medical equipment and welfare services.
The split will not involve the issuance of shares or other financial exchanges, as it is a gratuitous transfer.
