Tri Chemical Laboratories (TYO:4369) held a completion ceremony for its new Minami-Alps Plant in Japan's Yamanashi Prefecture, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The facility, which sits on roughly 30,100 square meters with a total floor area of about 5,690 square meters, will manufacture new etching and CVD materials for next-generation semiconductors.
Operations are set to begin in the first half of 2025.
The company said the 12 billion yen investment has already been factored into its current fiscal year forecast.
