1158 ET - In an industry well-positioned to weather a consumer spending recession, Roblox is likely in the best spot, Bank of America analysts say in a research note. The analysts say they expect Roblox to take market share using its large, effectively unlimited supply of developers to out-innovate its competitors. Further, any pullback in consumer spending is unlikely to affect the company significantly given the ad-hoc, small ticket nature of spending by players, the analysts say. They add that third-party data suggests consumer spending on toys and games suffered milder declines than other categories during the recession in 2008 and 2009. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
