路透新德里4月21日 - 印度财政部长西塔拉曼(Nirmala Sitharaman)周一表示，印度希望在今年秋季之前与美国 "积极缔结 "初步贸易协定。
西塔拉曼在旧金山对印度侨民发表讲话时说：“与美国长期与短期接触不仅仅为了对等关税相关问题，而是为了...我们最大贸易伙伴的利益，我们需要与他们达成协议。
根据印度政府的一份声明，西塔拉曼正在美国进行为期五天的访问，她将参加国际货币基金组织$(IMF)$和世界银行的春季会议，以及20国集团$(G20.SI)$财长和央行总裁会议。
她还将会见美国财政部长贝森特，并与美国贸易代表办公室的官员进行会谈。(完)
