Boeing Secures Supplies Needed For 737 MAX Despite Fire at Key Supplier Factory, Reuters Reports

--Boeing has secured certain nuts and bolts that go into its top-selling commercial jet as it works to avoid a production slowdown due to a fire at a key supplier's factory, says Reuters, citing two industry sources.

--The jet maker had been running low on specific fasteners used on its 737 MAX jets because of the fire, but secured new supplies in recent weeks, albeit at higher prices, according to the report.

--A Boeing spokesperson said the company is taking steps to address fastener shortages but did not provide specifics, according to the report.
