Tesoro Gold (ASX:TSO) started preparations for an environmental impact study as part of the permitting process for constructing and operating a gold mine at the El Zorro project in Chile, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company appointed Chilean engineering firm Pares&Alvarez to conduct the assessment, estimated to be completed within 24 months, the filing said.
Shares were up 3% in morning trade on Tuesday.
