Exxon Mobil Signs CO2 Transportation, Storage Deal With Calpine

Exxon Mobil (XOM) said Wednesday it has signed a deal with Calpine Corp. to transport and permanently store up to 2 million metric tons per annum of CO2 from Calpine's Baytown Energy Center, a cogeneration facility near Houston.

The agreement marks Exxon Mobil's sixth carbon capture and storage customer, the oil and gas giant said.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
