IonQ has entered a $22 million partnership with EPB, an energy-and-communications company, to develop a quantum-innovation center in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The center will house an IonQ Forte Enterprise quantum computer that will be shared by both companies, as well as the existing EPB Quantum Network that IonQ already supports, IonQ said Friday.

IonQ will also open an office in Chattanooga to provide quantum computing, networking and application development support and training.

The partnership establishes Chattanooga as a national hub for quantum innovation, the company said.
