路透4月28日 - 香港发牌机构周一表示，已对总部位于美国的 互动经纪集团（Interactive Brokers Group）IBKR.O本地部门罚款420万港元(，罚款金额为541453.42港元)，原因是 该部门在未获得有效授权的情况下错误地将客户证券借给其他投资者 。
证券及期货事务监察委员会（$(SFC.AU)$）表示，其调查发现，失误发生在2017年12月3日至2020年10月23日期间，在此期间，借出的客户证券总市值达5,860亿港元。
证监会表示，在 2020 年 10 月 27 日前后，IBHK 意识到，由于更新后的程序错误，自 2017 年 12 月以来，没有向任何客户发送续期通知。
不过，该公司告诉证监会，其客户并未因此事件蒙受任何损失。
该监管机构还表示，IBHK 已采取与该事件有关的进一步补救措施，包括每 11 个月向客户分发续期通知。
