Over 31,000 credentials belonging to customers of Australia's big four banks are available online after customers' personal devices were compromised by malware, ABC News reported on Tuesday, citing an investigation by Australian information security firm Dvuln.
The credentials belonging to at least 14,000 Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA); 7,000 ANZ Group Holdings (ASX:ANZ, NZE:ANZ); 5,000 National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB); and 4,000 Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) customers can be accessed online, according to the report.
The breach of data was not a result of vulnerability in the banks, according to Dvuln.
