Cleveland-Cliffs Launches 'Buy American' Car Incentive Program -- Market Talk

0716 ET - Cleveland-Cliffs is launching a company-wide "Buy American" incentive for its nearly 30,000 employees. During calendar year 2025, any Cleveland-Cliffs employee who buys or leases a new American-built vehicle with substantial Cliffs' steel content will receive a $1,000 cash bonus in connection with the purchase. Vehicles produced in a plant outside of the U.S., or that use a significant amount of imported flat-rolled steel, will not qualify for the incentive. "We hope that other companies will follow suit and do their part to incentivize consumption of American-made products," says Lourenco Goncalves, Cliffs' chairman and CEO. (chris.wack@wsj.com)
