XPENG-W (09868), a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, saw its shares soar 7.40% during the trading session. The stock's impressive performance was mirrored by other tech giants, including Tencent (00700), which increased by 3.4%, Alibaba-W (09988) with a 0.6% gain, and Xiaomi (01810), which rose more than 3%.
The rally extended beyond the tech sector, with biotech and pharmaceutical stocks also showcasing notable gains. BeiGene (06160) surged 8.5%, while WuXi AppTec (02359) rose 3.5%. Additionally, the semiconductor industry experienced positive momentum, with SMIC (00981) gaining 2.9% and Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347) up by 0.7%.
