EHang Holdings (EH) said Wednesday it formed a partnership with the Civil Aviation Flight University of China to develop skilled personnel, including operators and maintenance staffs for its pilotless electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
The parties will launch a program for the license management of large civil unmanned aerial vehicle operators and combine academic education and vocational training, allowing graduates to obtain both basic licenses for large UAVs and EH216-S operator licenses, the company said.
The parties also intend to explore setting up a training institution and potentially participate in the formulation of regulations and standards in the field of large civil UAVs, EHang said.
The company's shares were up about 3.5% in recent trading.
