More than 8.69 million shares of traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 743,000.
Mizuho adjusted its price target for Constellation Energy (CEG) to $235 from $264, while maintaining its neutral rating.
Constellation shares were trading down nearly 11% intraday, with trading volume at over 8.28 million versus its daily average of about 3.24 million.
S&P Dow Jones Indices said Nvidia (NVDA) will replace Intel (INTC) in the Dow Jones Industrial Average effective Friday.
Intel shares dropped 2.3% as intraday trading volume climbed to over 62 million from the stock's daily average of about 81 million.
