Business confidence in New Zealand slightly weakened in November but remained at an "impressive high," according to a monthly report by ANZ Research published Thursday.
The business confidence index slipped to 64.9 in November from 65.7 in October. The "own activity outlook" indicator rose to 48 from 45.9, representing a decade high with the retail sector logging the highest increase.
Firms' export intentions rose to a six-year high, with the relevant indicator up to 21.2 from 17.1.
Inflation expectations eased to 2.5% from 2.8%. Year-ago employment improved to negative 11.6 from negative 14.6.
