Walmart (WMT) said Tuesday that it has completed its acquisition of television manufacturer Vizio (VZIO).
Under the terms of the deal announced in February, Walmart acquired Vizio and its SmartCast operating system for $11.50 per share in cash for an equity value of about $2.3 billion. Walmart said it expects the acquisition to be slightly dilutive to fiscal Q4 and fiscal 2026 earnings per share.
With the completion of the acquisition, Vizio is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Walmart and its shares will no longer trade on the New York Stock Exchange as of the close of trading Tuesday, Walmart said.
