BlockBeats 消息，12 月 12 日，花旗银行发布的最新报告中认为，稳定币不仅有可能巩固美元的主导地位，而且还挑战了比特币有朝一日将终结美元霸权地位的说法。
分析师在报告中表示：“最初，比特币等加密货币被认为是央行发行货币的竞争对手。事实上，一些人相信——并且仍然相信——比特币可能会终结美元的霸权。然而，USDT 正在挑战这一说法。”
花旗指出，绝大多数稳定币都与美元挂钩，而发行方同时持有美元和美国国债。分析师还表示，如果美国政府进一步使稳定币合法化，这可能会增强美元的主导地位。“监管透明度的提高也可能进一步提升稳定币的吸引力。如果是这样，稳定币发行方对美国国库券的需求可能会从目前的 1% 左右增长。因此，这种加密货币不会取代美元，而是可以让美元更容易被世界接受，并巩固美元长期以来的全球主导地位。”
