据thegamer消息，任天堂美国公司前社交媒体营销和原创内容总监Kit Ellis在网络上分享称，这次泄密事件让任天堂公司感到非常不舒服。他表示：“他们不喜欢正在发生的事情，因为现在公布Switch 2的情报对于公司来说并不是一个好时机，他们感到很不舒服。”

事实上，任天堂的担忧并非没有道理。在CES 2025上展示Switch 2模型机的配件厂商Genki已经遭到了任天堂法务部的介入。据报道，任天堂的律师已经造访了Genki的展台，对其行为表示关注。然而，Genki方面却据理力争，他们表示自己与任天堂没有任何正式关系，也从未签署过任何协议，包括保密协议（NDA）。

Genki强调，他们的产品是基于从外部渠道获得的非官方模具开发的，而非来自任天堂官方的信息或授权。因此，他们认为自己没有违反任何法律或协议。参加CES的法国记者Julien Tellouck也证实了这一点，他表示在与Genki工作人员交谈时得知，尽管任天堂的律师已经找上门，但Genki并不担心，因为他们从未与任天堂签署过任何文件。
