Digital Life Line, a subsidiary of DISA Limited (SGX:532), will deploy its Automated Visual Acuity Test (AVAT) devices at a public hospital's ophthalmology clinic starting Feb. 3, under a one-year contract, according to a Monday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
The compact, self-administered AVAT system reduces the need for trained staff and large spaces, using advanced optics to perform accurate vision tests in a tabletop setup.
The devices will be leased through a hybrid model combining a fixed monthly rental and per-test fees.
The deployment follows a pilot study showing 97% sensitivity in detecting patients needing further tests and high patient satisfaction. Digital Life Line also recently secured CE certification, paving the way for international expansion.
