FuelCell Energy (FCEL) said Wednesday that it will construct a 7.4 megawatt fuel cell power plant in Hartford, Connecticut.
The plant will provide the local grid with class 1 renewable baseload power, the company said.
FuelCell also said it will sell the power produced from the plant to Eversource and United Illuminating under a 20-year power purchase deal.
Shares of the company rose 2.5% in recent Wednesday trading.
