Apollo Minerals (ASX:AON) started the second phase of its drilling program at the Salanie gold project in Gabon, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The current phase will focus on extensions to the identified A1 prospect mineralization and untested targets at other key prospects, per the filing. It follows "exception results" from the 2024 program, which intersected up to 11.7 meters at 4.3 grams per tonne grade of gold from 9.6 meters.
Apollo Minerals' shares climbed nearly 13% in recent Wednesday trade.
