Kroger has hired veteran PepsiCo executive David Kennerley as the supermarket operator's next chief financial officer.
Kroger on Wednesday said Kennerley, currently senior vice president and finance chief for PepsiCo Europe, will join the Cincinnati company on March 10 as senior vice president and will succeed Todd Foley as chief financial officer on April 3.
Kroger said Foley, who stepped in as interim chief financial officer last February after Gary Millerchip left to become finance chief at Costco Wholesale, plans to retire. Foley has been with Kroger since 2001.
Kennerley, who joined PepsiCo in 2001, has been in his current post with the beverages and snacks giant since March 2020.
