Azul在一份证券文件中说，此次增资最多可达33.7亿雷亚尔，(5.91亿美元)，控股股东大卫-尼勒曼（David Neeleman）提供了新的投资，他是一位连续的航空企业家，也是美国捷蓝航空公司（JetBlue JBLU.O）的创始人。
尼勒曼目前持有 Azul 67% 的有投票权股份，另外 33% 由 Trip 航空公司的股东持有，Trip 是 Azul 在 2010 年代初收购的一家航空公司。预计在重组过程中，他将失去对公司的控制权，但仍将是公司的主要股东。
