Verizon Communications (VZ) is facing a probe into its diversity practices by newly appointed Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr, Reuters reported Thursday.
He criticized the telecommunications company for its continued promotion of diversity, equity and inclusion programs, the report said.
Carr has also expedited the review of Verizon's $9.6 billion acquisition of Frontier Communications for which the company awaits FCC's approval, according to Reuters.
Verizon and FCC did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
