ExxonMobil shut several units at its 248,000 b/d Gravenchon refinery in France on Saturday as part of a major planned turnaround, the company said in a press release on Feb. 28.
Esso, the French subsidiary of ExxonMobil, said that this scheduled technical shutdown will include various projects aimed at improving the energy efficiency, environmental performance and competitiveness of the refinery.
The company confirmed that it intends to meet its contractual supply obligations with customers during the shutdown period.
